First rehearsal review: Russia goes traditional

Up next is Russia with Manizha! That was quite an interesting performance from Manizha.

She starts in a veeeery big oversized traditional costume and moves forward and back with it. You cannot see her feet so that « effect » looks quite good. She later comes out of it. She wears her red jump-suit, a little bit different from her national final performance.

After that not much is happening on the stage itself. She is again joined by her four backing vocalists which built a circle with Manizha in the middle of it. Similar to the one in the national final.

The LED content uses traditional Russian elements and includes statements like « Be Creative, Be Strong, Be The First ». She also used the transparent LED screen. At the end of the song you can see hundreds of women on the LED screen. Fire is coming near the end of her song, in the same part as in her national final performance.

One criticism: I am missing her attitude and her power from her national final performance. As this is only the first rehearsal, I’m sure she will work on that.
