First rehearsal review: Israel’s Eden Alene takes you to her own world
The first country to rehearse after our lunch was Israel today. Eden Alene took the Eurovision stage for the first time to do her first rehearsal.
Israel did four run-throughs today. Normally each country gets to rehearse three times. We assume that they did that because they had some time left. The first run-throughs did not look good. A lot of camera shots were out of place.
Eden starts her performance with her dancers. She dances all the way to the bridge where you can see the transparent LED screen which features Eden’s outlines. The graphics kinda reminded me of Electro Velvet from 2015.
At the end, there is a dress change and they added some pyro. Vocally, she started okay but ended perfect in her final run-throughs. She hit that high note, EVERY TIME!
Overall, a good performance but not a sure qualifier for me. The performance does not help to elevate the song for me.
