Eurovision 2020: stage design revealed!

Open up! – The stage desIgn for EurovIsIon 2020 Is revealed! We have been waiting for it and it’s finally time – the stage design for the biggest music show in the world is revealed!NPO, AVROTROS and NOS just revealed the stage design for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest.  The design is inspired by the typical Dutch flat landscape and this years slogan of the Eurovision Song Contest – Open Up! The green room will be back in the arena itself. Stage designer Florian Wieder stated: “The design shows the connection between the sky, the sea and the land. The horizon links these elements and that horizon will work as a window to open up the world of Eurovision 2020. The floor plan of the stage is inspired by the canals and bridges that connect land and water in the Netherlands. With this design, we want to bring the artists as close as possible to the audience. I was inspired by the unique characteristics of Dutch Design. Based on that, I wanted to create an unconventional, minimalist and modern concept for next year’s show. I am very happy that the Dutch public broadcaster has been so openminded and has enthusiastically embraced this design. As far as I’m concerned, this is a new chapter in stage design, a wish I have had for a long time.”Sietse Bakker, Executive Producer of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 is very happy with the choice stating:“The design is innovative, modest and functionally smart. This way we can create a completely different look for each of the 41 participating acts, opening and interval acts and during the voting results. We’ll present an innovative stage design, grand in its simplicity and yet full of surprises. The designer has perfectly translated this wish into his design. While his experience is clearly reflected in this design, he knows how to surprise.”Florian Wieder designed the stages for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019. He also designed stages for big international shows like the MTV Awards, Emmy Awards and more. The stage of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest will be build in the first weeks of April 2020 in Rotterdam Ahoy – the venue for the 2020 competition. What do you thInk about thIs years stage? Eurovision 2020: Delegations voted to keep the same voting system!

The votIng system of the EurovIsIon Song Contest wIll RemaIn unchanged!Ms. Maria Koufopoulou, ERT’s Director of International Relations recently gave an interview where she gave details about the current situation of how Greece will select its entry and about the Eurovision meeting, which was held in September.Ms. Koufopoulou stated that Greek broadcaster ERT didn’t decide yet how they will select the Greek entrant for next years competition. However she pointed out, that the broadcaster is open both for a national final or an internal selection.During the interview Ms. Koufopoulou also stated that a meeting was held in September where members of different delegations took part. During the meeting a voting was held in which the broadcasters could vote whether they want to keep the current voting system of the competition or if they would like to change it. Some different voting systems were on the table but according to Ms. Koufopoulou, 80% of the delegations decided to keep the current 50% jury, 50% televote voting system. She stated:“80% voted not to change the voting system. I participated in the Workshop, along with my two colleagues, and there was the question of whether EBU members were satisfied with the current voting system.”Discussions about a possible new voting method raised after the raising amount of mistakes which were made in the jury voting in recent years. The EBU however will most probably keep the voting system as the majority of the delegations are satisfied how it is.What do you thInk about the outcome? are you happy wIth the current votIng system? tell us In the comments sectIon below.Source: sputniknews.grPhoto by: Andres Putting BÜYÜK FİNALE... i (function($){$(document).ready(function($) { var event_month = 5 - 1; desc = 'KALDI'; eventDate = new Date(2020, event_month, 16, 00, 00, 00, 0); $('#shailan-countdown-REPLACE_TO_ID_10').countdown({ until: eventDate, description: desc, format: 'yowdHMS', timezone: 0 }); }); })(jQuery); Facebook Twitter Instagram en çok okunanlar “Eurovision Kudüs’te düzenlenmeli” Mart 26, 2018 Türkiye, Eurovision’da yer almayacak Eylül 21, 2019 Hatari sorularımızı cevapladı Nisan 5, 2019 EBU, oylama sistemini değiştirmeye hazır Ekim 22, 2019
